Host the Earth Grief Project

The Earth Grief project is envisioned as way to seed conversations about collective grief tending within groups working towards cultural and ecological transformation. The three offerings of the project, which may be experienced either individually or together, offer a gradual opening into the tending of Earth Grief. People can choose the events they would like to attend based on their comfort level immersing in the waters of grief.
EARTH GRIEF: A CLOWN’S RITUAL FOR RECONNECTION
The performance —the playful journey of a clown encountering climate crisis while on a mission to save a tree—offers a gentle, un-intimidating space for people to begin a conversation about Earth Grief.

TENDING EARTH GRIEF WORKSHOP
The workshop is a space in which to gather inspirations, try out practices of creative expression for working with grief, and engage our imaginations about the ways your community can create an ecosystem of support for the tending of earth grief.

GRIEF COMPOSTING CIRCLE
The Grief Composting Circle is a safe container in which to express the collective grief we carry for the earth, for the wounds of our broken culture, for our own untended heartache. In this gently held space, a small group of us will participate in a ritual to offer our grief as compost to the earth.
